Despite a fine performance by first baseman Joaquin Soto, the Buenos Aires Dolphins lost to the Mexico City Aztecs, 6-4. Soto was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Miguel Jaime notched his 16th save in 22 chances. The win gives Mexico City a season record of 59-57.

Mexico City used the timely hitting of Alessandro Odescalchi to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Aztecs on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Odescalchi said.
