FSSL Honors Puerto Rico Right Fielder Monday, July 31st, 1939 At the age of 27, Elias Corriga might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Puerto Rico right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .500 batting average. For his efforts Corriga collected the Fast Sim Side League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 14 hits in 28 at-bats, 1 home run and 8 RBIs last week in 7 games. So far this season, Corriga has recorded a .345 batting average with 168 hits, 5 home runs, 61 RBIs, 74 runs scored and a .367 OBP. |
