Jaguars Prevail, as League Championship Series Goes to the Wire
WBA Single A fans were certainly not disappointed with this Americas Baseball League League Championship Series.

The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Manaus Jaguars prevailing over the Galveston Jubilee to advance to the A World Series.

Manaus won the final game by a score of 6-4 at Jaguars Ballpark and that sealed the series 3-2.

"Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said shortstop Zhi-xin Shih, who earned MVP honors.

For the series, Shih hit .667 with a .714 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Manaus Jaguars will play against the Venice Legionnaires in the next round. Venice won their series against the Guangzhou Emperors 3 games to 0. The A World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
