League Championship Series Goes the Distance, Puerto Plata Prevails
A classic and dramatic League Championship Series has wrapped up, with the Puerto Plata Taimascaros outlasting the Belem Jaguars to advance to the AA World Series.

Puerto Plata won the final game by a score of 4-3 and took the series 3-2.

"We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Puerto Plata first baseman James Weatherhead, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP.

Weatherhead hit .263 with a .364 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Puerto Plata Taimascaros don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Canberra Comets - Milan Marauders series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The AA World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
