Toucans Advance to AA World Series
|
Fans at Express Park saw the League Championship Series come to a close today, as the Porto Alegre Toucans defeated the Austin Grackles by a score of 2-1, and advanced to the AA World Series.
Porto Alegre won the series 3-1 and will now continue their march toward the AA World Series.
"It feels good to be moving on, I can't deny it," said left fielder Muslih bin Shakir, who was named series MVP. "Not everyone thought we'd make it this far."
The Porto Alegre Toucans don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Milan Marauders - Gujranwala Ospreys series. Milan leads the series 2 games to 1. The AA World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
