Oakland Win League Championship Series
The Oakland Stars are bound for the R World Series.

A 5-1 win over the Plano Rancheros at Stars Ballpark ended the League Championship Series, 3-1.

"We're not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but it's hard not to get pumped up and excited and think about how this season could end," said Shawn Kelly. "This could be the biggest celebration Oakland has ever seen if we can win the R World Series."

The state of the WBA Rookie League championship remains in doubt, but the Stars certainly appear to be strong contenders.

Kelly was named MVP of the League Championship Series after he posted a .417 batting average, while adding 0 home runs, driving in 3 RBI and scoring 1 runs.

The Oakland Stars don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Naples Naturals - Sargodha Peregrine series. Naples leads the series 2 games to 1. The R World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
