Pedro Gil Wins ABL Trophy Monday, September 13th, 2106 At the age of 27, Pedro Gil might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Puerto Rico first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .524 batting average. For his efforts Gil collected the Americas Baseball League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 5 home runs and 13 RBIs last week in 6 games. In 140 games this year Gil has posted a .280 average and put up these numbers: 15 home runs, 66 RBIs and 60 runs scored. |
