Manuel Fires Shutout in Granma Victory Saturday, July 1st , 2147 Francisco Manuel held the Santiago Caballeros to 2 hits and fashioned a fine 1-0 shutout at Estadio Santo Domingo today. Speaking after the game, Granma Alazanes manager said "Manuel had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful." Manuel rung up 7 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Santiago manager told reporters. Thus far this season Manuel has posted a 7-3 record, started 15 games, struck out 76 batters in 99 innings and compiled a 2.64 ERA. |
