Lao Struts Stuff in Win Over Bergen Friday, July 7th , 2147 Florence Centurions starter Wei-fang Lao really did a number on the Bergen Castles today, shutting them out 1-0 on 6 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 1 walk and had 11 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Bergen manager . "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Lao." This year Lao has posted a record of 2 wins and 1 loss with a 3.63 ERA. He has appeared in 8 games and struck out 36 in 39.2 innings. |
