IBL-AAA Announces July's Best Starter Tuesday, August 1st , 2147 As Richard Welch hoisted up the Intercontinental Baseball League Pitcher of the Month trophy for July, rumors have already begun to swirl about whether he will leave Mombasa once his contract is up at the end of the season. Welch put pressure on the Chameleons to keep him around by posting a 4-0 record and an ERA of 0.74 over 36.1 innings last month. He also rolled up 24 strikeouts, increasing his value both to Mombasa and to every other team in the league. In 13 starts this season Welch has fashioned a 4-4 record and a 2.65 ERA. |
