Argutinsky Dominates Daejeon Thursday, August 10th , 2147 Hajy Argutinsky was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Bremen Foxes hurler tossed a 5-hit, complete game shutout against the Daejeon Monks. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Argutinsky. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Argutinsky walked 2 and struck out 6 in the 3-0 victory. In 9 starts this season Argutinsky has chalked up a 5-5 record and a 2.22 ERA. |
