Gabir Tareen, the Fresno Stars 23-year-old center fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Americas Baseball League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 13 hits in 28 at-bats, compiling a .464 average with no home runs and 1 RBIs. For the season Tareen is batting .270 with 129 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 55 times and batted in 43. |
