Román Blisters Geneva Wednesday, June 21st , 2147 It was a magical day at the plate for Sacramento Stars second baseman Sixto Román. The 22-year-old Román helped lift Sacramento to a 4-2 win over the Geneva Lakers today at Ballpark of Sacramento. Román smacked 5 hits in 7 at-bats to spark his club to victory. Sixto Román struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Lukas Steggall in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, doubled in the 8th, singled in the 11th, flied out in the 13th, doubled in the 16th and hit a two-run home run off Alejandro Montoya in the 18th. Román is batting at a .297 pace this season, picking up 70 hits in 236 at-bats with 4 home runs, 32 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
