Dougherty Earns IBL-AA Top Pitcher Trophy Tuesday, August 1st , 2147 When the Monks skipper wrote Dougherty on the lineup card, it was a bad omen for the opposition. Outing after outing in July he took command and usually got the win. He dominated with a 3-0 mark and 0.69 ERA in 5 starts. The gifted Monks star pitched 39.1 innings, fanned 36 and held opposing teams to a .174 average. For his excellent mound work Dougherty was named the IBL-AA Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. This year Dougherty has worked 151 innings with 128 strikeouts en route to a 11-2 record and a 1.85 ERA. |
