Great July Gets Sapiara IBL-A Best Hitter Award Tuesday, August 1st , 2147 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 21 Carlino Sapiara has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Lille Fleur-de-Lis star can enjoy the numbers he put up in July, which have garnered him the nod as the Intercontinental Baseball League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .298 average with 7 home runs, 21 RBIs and 17 runs scored. On the season, Sapiara is batting .239 with 11 home runs and 50 RBIs. He has played in 93 games. |
