Kiriakopoulos of Guangzhou Crowned Best Player Monday, August 14th , 2147 Guangzhou Emperors right fielder Lysander Kiriakopoulos had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Intercontinental Baseball League named him Player of the Week. Kiriakopoulos banged out 7 hits in 20 at-bats on the way to a .350 batting average. He also racked up 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This year Kiriakopoulos has collected a .269 batting average to date with 103 hits in 383 at-bats, 59 RBIs, 13 home runs and scored 42 times.
