ABL-A Player of the Week Awarded Monday, August 21st , 2147 Galveston Jubilee shortstop Yong-kook Choi walked away with the Americas Baseball League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Jubilee fans are really behind me right now," said the 21-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Choi batted .583 (14-for-24) with 1 home run and 12 RBIs this week on his way to the award. So far this season Choi has gotten 95 hits in 370 at-bats for a .257 batting average with 15 home runs. His stats include 75 RBIs and 66 runs scored. He has played in 114 games. |
