Fleur-de-Lis Torpedoed by Fernández in 4-0 Loss to Venice Friday, August 25th , 2147 Ricardo Fernández of the Venice Legionnaires overwhelmed the Lille Fleur-de-Lis and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them 4-0 on 5 hits with a total of 12 strikeouts and 2 walks. "Ricardo was on quite a roll," Venice manager said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters." To date this year Fernández has won 17 and lost 0 with a 1.53 ERA, no saves and 197 strikeouts in no relief appearances. |
