Topping Strokes 5 Hits Thursday, April 27th , 2147 It was a parade of hits for Finney Topping of the Campinas Toucans at Foxes Ballpark today. Connecting with regularity, Topping finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but the Leprechauns rose to the occasion and rained on his parade with a 9-7 win. "Topping was really good, we were just a little better," said Leprechauns manager in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, as long as we win." Finney Topping singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. This year Topping is batting .362 with 1 home run. |
