Safroshkin Clips Emperors for Cycle Sunday, June 11th , 2147 In an outing that will go down in the annals of baseball history, Nice right fielder Zorya Safroshkin hit for the cycle today as the Fleur-de-Lis marched to victory over the Tianjin Emperors, 9-5. Safroshkin collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 4 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to help Nice take the Lightning Ballpark contest. "It was the last thing on my mind, really," Safroshkin said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway." Zorya Safroshkin doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Horst Snelleman in the 8th.
