Monks Flame Out Against Sato, Peregrine Saturday, July 8th , 2147 Eichiro Sato of the Sargodha Peregrine was on fire against the Ulsan Monks at Falcons Ballpark today. He shut them out 6-0 on 3 hits, collecting 9 strikeouts and allowing 1 walk. "The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Sato said later. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that." To date this season Sato is 9-4 with 17 starts and an ERA of 2.03 with 127 strikeouts in 133 innings. |
