Wang Fashions No-Hitter Against Fleur-de-Lis Thursday, July 27th , 2147 Naples is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by Hao Wang. The 24-year-old hurler was dominating against the Nice Fleur-de-Lis, leading the Naturals to a 9-0 win at Lightning Ballpark today. "I could tell early on that it was going to be a long day for us," Nice manager said afterward. "He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game." Wang had 10 strikeouts and gave up 1 walk en route to the no-hitter. "Yeah, this was a special day for me," Wang said. "I had my good stuff and good movement. Good location, too. Even when I made a mistake, I got away with it today." This season Wang has chalked up no saves, notched a 13-2 record with a 1.63 ERA, allowed 94 hits in his 149 innings of work, struck out 179 and walked 36. Opponents are hitting .183 against the Naples hurler. |
