Broadbent Sparkles in 5-0 Whitewash of Mackinac Wednesday, August 16th , 2147 Jayden Broadbent hurled a fine game for the Las Tunas Lenadores at Eugene Ballpark today, holding the Mackinac Trappers to 2 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Las Tunas manager said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The right-hander had 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 5-0 victory. "An outstanding job," Mackinac manager said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game." On the year Broadbent has worked 140 innings with 125 strikeouts en route to a 10-5 record and 2.25 ERA. |
