Clerc Blisters Zapopan Wednesday, September 6th , 2147 All game long, Mackinac's Clément Clerc was rattling the walls at Eugene Ballpark and banging out base hits against the Zapopan Aztecs. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Trappers had a 7-3 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 20-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Clément Clerc tripled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In the current season, Clerc has put up a .289 batting average with 125 hits, 7 home runs, 55 runs batted in and scored 63 runs. |
