Jaguars Cruise to League Championship Series with Sweep Saturday, September 16th , 2147 It's a sweet sweep for the Recife Jaguars and they have won the Divisional Series. The Plano Rancheros were not able to keep pace with the Jaguars and dropped the series in short order, losing 4-1 in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Plano manager . It's now on to the League Championship Series for Recife after their 3-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was center fielder Sindre Reite, who was named MVP. For the series, Reite hit .364 with a .462 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Recife Jaguars don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the South Bend Leprechauns - Mackinac Trappers series. South Bend leads the series 2 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes. |
