Title: Blockbuster in Melbourne: Sifiye for Mitchell
Post by: Bob_Meteors on October 25, 2017, 08:54:30 PM
MELBOURNE, Australia: Breaking news from Melbourne. The Meteors have just traded star shortstop Tamirat Sifiye for ace pitcher Clifford "Fudd" Mitchell.

There's lots of analysis to come, but this seems like a good deal for Melbourne. Fudd is a stellar pitcher, but his real value lies in his injury history. He's never been hurt for more than a week, which comes as a relief to a Meteors rotation with Andy Stone and Kvana Datar out for the year, and Ronald Poe and Abdeljilil Abedi missing significant time this year.

Sifiye will likely be replaced by Mike Spears, who was acquired from Santo Domingo this March. He's been hitting .339 this year so far.
