I've had a few questions, plus there was the earlier snafu, regarding cash in trades and how to know how much cash you have.
On either of the below links if you look under "Start Cash" that is actually the amount of cash you have right now:

It says "Start Cash" because those pages are designed to calculate expenses, revenue, and cash information for next season's budgets. This value should match what you see on your financial report both in-game and on the HTML reports, such as here (under CURRENT FINANCIAL OVERVIEW):

Essentially your cash figure is considered your available reserve fund throughout the season. The calculation of revenue-expenses+available cash takes place at the end of the season to determine your cash for the following year. Your budget, on the other hand, is calculated based on your team's performance over the previous two seasons as explained in the constitution here:

So are we limited to trading up to the Start Cash amount, or can we trade upto the Ending Cash amount and have it deducted after the season? I assume it's the former, but thought I'd check to make sure.

Your assumption is correct, no borrowing against future earnings. :P
