Foxes Trip Generals, 4-3, in Extra Innings
|
The Black Forest Foxes did just enough to secure a victory over the Rome Generals, 4-3, in 12 innings at The Den. Nobody did more than pitcher António Colón. The loss has the Generals at 7-5.
The Foxes got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Lorenzo Ortíz. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Foxes.
"This wasn't a good win," said Ortíz. "It was a great win."
