The Chicago Beefs grabbed a win, 7-3, over the Detroit Blue Gills at Detroit Ballpark. Chicago shortstop Jordan Ewart was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. A key moment came with one out in the top of the fifth. That's when Ewart hit a changeup from Borenko Vasiljevic for a 2-run single, putting Chicago up, 4-0.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Ewart told the Chicago Times.
