Jaguars Beat Havana, 3-2
|
Starting pitcher Christian Perron gave the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Havana Dolphins, 3-2, at El Estadio Latinoamericano. In-kwon Yun came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. Luis Gutiérrez earned the save, his 4th, for the Jaguars.
The Jaguars got a big at-bat from third baseman Guy Pacio. For the game, Pacio went 1 for 3 with a triple. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Rio de Janeiro a 1-0 lead.
Pacio called the win "a team effort."
The Jaguars raised their record to 11-3.
