In a tight tilt between Rome and Paris, pitcher Ángel Castillo was a key contributor. The right-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 2-1 Generals win. Efren Paculdar earned the save for Rome, his 1st of the year. The Fleur-de-Lis drop to 7-8 and continue their mediocre start to the 2155 season.
With Rome leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Castillo hit a run-scoring single off Paris hurler Colin Kearsey. It was the 2nd hit of the season for Castillo and put his team ahead, 2-0.
"Ángel did a heck of a job," said Rome manager Tx Horns.
