Los Angeles right-hander Maximino Trapa pitched his team to victory over the Sao Paulo Toucans at Field of the Stars. The final score was 2-1. The win puts Los Angeles at 8-8.
Los Angeles took a 2-1 lead on Jesús Sosa's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Sosa hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Sao Paulo pitcher Talal Yunus visibly frustrated.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Sao Paulo skipper Casey Blake DeWitt, "and it cost us."
