Cairo turned a good effort from starter Ciro Galasso into a win over the Daegu Monks at Pharaohs Ballpark. The Pharaohs won the game, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Galasso, now 2-1. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Daegu falls to 8-8.

Hiroyasu Inagaki had a big run-scoring triple for the Pharaohs in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Cairo leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Jaime Corona and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pharaohs ahead, 3-0.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Cairo manager J Stell.
