Beefs Handle Puerto Rico, Snag 4-3 Win
|
Puerto Rico second baseman Abdul-Nasir Hamid had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-3, to Chicago at Beefs Stadium. Hamid went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. The Coqui drop to 6-11, as their stumbling start to the 2155 season continues.
Had Gualter Bonito not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bonito hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Beefs.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Bonito told the Chicago Times.
