Extra-Inning Win by Pharaohs Over Foxes
The Cairo Pharaohs wiggled past the Black Forest Foxes, 4-3, at The Den. The win was highlighted by the performance of Cairo pitcher Chinh Tran-Dinh. Carlos Mitchinson, now 1-1, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Picking up his 1st save was 32-year old right-handed pitcher Ernest Davis.

Cairo used the timely hitting of Jonathan Allen to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Pharaohs on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame remarks, Tran-Dinh hailed his team's "mettle."
