The Rome Generals got a sterling performance from pitcher Enreecko Vergara, but the Tokyo Fitzies still prevailed, 6-2. Vergara threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Tokyo reliever Ethan Gloyn picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Enreecko Vergara was saddled with the loss. The win gives Tokyo a record of 9-9.
Tokyo used the hitting of Jaromir Cermaka to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Fitzies on top, 4-0. For the game, Cermaka had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Tokyo manager .
