|
The Paris Fleur-de-Lis picked up a win at Stade de France, downing the Beijing Emperors, 3-1. On the mound for Paris was left-hander Pedro Estrada, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 7 innings, Estrada surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Levi Kvistad picked up the save, his 2nd.
Mujahid Najib, who is a two-time Defender of the Year Award winner, chipped in a solo home run for Paris in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Beijing skipper Kev In, "and it cost us."
The Fleur-de-Lis raised their record to 2-0.
