Rome got a big-time effort from pitcher Jorge Rosales, but it wasn't enough to keep the Tokyo Samurai from winning the game, 4-3. Rosales threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The win gives Tokyo a record of 10-8.

The decisive blow was delivered by Julian Weke in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a solo home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Efren Paculdar to win the game for Tokyo. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place was jumping at the end," Weke said.
