Voyageurs Win with Late Heroics
|
The Oslo Voyageurs got a stellar effort from pitcher Jasny Scheinoha, helping Oslo score a win over the visiting Tokyo Fitzies, 1-0, in 14 innings. The win was credited to 36-year old right-handed pitcher Kwan-yew Lei in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Rino Kathirithamby took the loss. At 17-3, the 2151 Voyageurs have been excellent so far.
The Voyageurs got a clutch hit from shortstop Raymond Iannacone. In the bottom of the 14th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Voyageurs.
"Jasny is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Oslo manager Marq Ualler.
