Detroit 3-1 Losers to Beefs

Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Detroit Blue Gills home opener. Mu-sang Kim started for the home team against La`nh Vu for the Chicago Beefs. The Blue Gills were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 3-1, Chicago. Mu-sang Kim, though, was impressive. La`nh Vu picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 4 in 6.1 innings.
Chicago used the timely hitting of Joshua Etheridge to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Beefs on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Afterward, Beefs manager Dill On said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
