The Daegu Monks powered past the Melbourne Meteors, 8-4, at Monks Stadium. Allam Amin went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Jaime Corona got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 9 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Melbourne is 1-1 after the defeat.

With Daegu leading 2-0 in the bottom of the first, Amin hit a 2-run single off Melbourne hurler Tadasu Hirose. It was the 2nd hit of the season for Amin and put his team ahead, 4-0.
