The Santo Domingo Palmchats knocked off the Detroit Blue Gills, 6-4, in Americas Baseball League action at Estadio Santo Domingo. Santo Domingo pitcher and Mecca, Saudi Arabia, native Talal Yunus had an outstanding performance. Detroit drops to 10-11.

Ramón Ornelas had a big 2-run double for the Palmchats in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Santo Domingo leading 4-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Borenko Vasiljevic, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2150 draft, and swatted a double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Palmchats ahead, 6-1.

"I'm happy we won," said Yunus. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
