El Paso Falters Again, Loses, 5-3, to Puerto Rico

The Puerto Rico Coqui racked up a win at Ballpark of San Juan, bumping off the El Paso Thunderbirds, 5-3. Gia-Long Hoang, who started for Puerto Rico, pitched effectively for his team. El Paso, at 4-17, has had a dismal start to the season.
Center Fielder Samir bin Umar made an impact for Puerto Rico, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Tien Dung Long in the bottom of the third. For the contest, bin Umar went 2 for 3 with a triple, while scoring 2 times.
"This losing is getting old," said El Paso manager AP MP.
