Morrison Leads Foxes to Win
|
The 9-1 Black Forest win over Karachi was due largely to Kieran Morrison. The Foxes first baseman went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. António Colón, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 1-1. Karachi, now 4-18, continues its dreadful start.
With Black Forest leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Morrison hit a fastball from Dylan Fullard for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Foxes ahead, 3-0.
"We maximized our offense today," said Black Forest skipper DP Woodford. "That makes everyone's life easier."
