The Los Angeles Stars got a good effort from starter Larry Murdoch in defeating the Santo Domingo Palmchats at Field of the Stars. The final score was 5-2. The winning pitcher was Murdoch, now 3-1. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Santo Domingo drops to 13-10.
The Stars got a big at-bat from right fielder Kristoffer Tengesdal. For the game, Tengesdal went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Los Angeles a 4-1 lead.
