The Havana Dolphins banked on Mathieu Richet and he turned in a masterful performance. The left-hander kept the El Paso hitters in check. The final score was 3-0, Dolphins. Richet, now 4-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Kwan-yew Lei finished to wrap up his 9th save.

Shafiq Joyo, who is a three-time Defender of the Year Award winner, had a direct impact on the outcome. Joyo contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Havana up, 3-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Joyo told the Havana Daily.

The Thunderbirds, at 5-18, have stumbled out of the gate.
