Falcons Beat Foxes in 13
|
The Karachi Falcons did just enough to nip the Black Forest Foxes, 4-3, in 13 innings. Karachi pitcher Amrus Mtembei, in particular, had a standout performance. Karachi is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 23 games.
Up to bat in the bottom of the 13th, 26-year old right-handed pitcher Chang Ming had a chance to be the hero. Black Forest pitcher Clément Michel wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Ming hit a sacrifice fly. The Falcons had themselves a thrilling win.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Black Forest skipper DP Woodford.
