The Chicago Beefs had their hands full with Rio de Janeiro Jaguars starter Christian Perron, who frustrated Chicago hitters while leading Rio de Janeiro to a comfortable, 7-1 win. Pàli Bajrami, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The win gives Rio de Janeiro a record of 15-9.

Guy Pacio had a big solo home run for the Jaguars in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Rio de Janeiro leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Patrick Widhoezl, who is tied for 10th in the ABL in innings pitched with 32.1, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Jaguars on top, 2-0.

"Christian was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Rio de Janeiro manager Echo 127.
