|
The Los Angeles Stars tallied a win at Field of the Stars, throttling the Mexico City Aztecs, 4-1. Starting pitcher Maximino Trapa was a big reason for his team's success. Trapa picked up the win for Los Angeles, going 8.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. The win puts Los Angeles at 12-13.
Din Khokhar had a big 2-run double for the Stars in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Los Angeles leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Rade Perisic, who is tied for 9th in the ABL in innings pitched with 37.1, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 4-0.
Said losing manager Square Drive: "Give the Stars credit. They played a better game than we did."
