Johnson Powers Jaguars to 8-1 Win
Boosted by the 4-hit performance of Ray Johnson, who finished 4th in the ABL in triples with 11 last year, the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars defeated the Santo Domingo Palmchats, 8-1. The Jaguars, now 16-9, have been playing some good baseball.

Leo Brooks, who finished 2nd in the ABL in hits with 216 in 2149, chipped in a solo home run for Rio de Janeiro in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Huck L. Berry.
